Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Ruiz Ocasio Ruiz was born on the 10th of January 1993, is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He has been called the "King of Modern Reggaeton".[2][3] He belongs to the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. The album he released his debut, Afrodisiaco (studio album), was released in the month of November in 2020. The album he followed with his second studio album, Vice Versa, released in June 2021, featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". Two Latin Grammy Awards have been awarded to him out of 12 nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz was born on 10 January 1993 in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. His father and guitarist Raul Ocasio Ruiz, as well as his mother Maria Nelly Ruiz (backing vocalist) gave him a wide range of his musical inspirations, including Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, and Chris Brown. [6] Alejandro lived with his father for many years throughout the United States, mostly New York City and Miami and Miami, where were influenced by R&B and dancehall. Alejandro and Anuel, a other Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood friends. They both attended the same high school and took part in classes. [9][10] Alejandro took part in school show as a youngster since he was a lover of dancing. After graduating from high school, Alejandro enrolled at University of Puerto Rico. He was a soccer player between the ages of six and twenty. However, he eventually left due to the fact that he did not perform as expected. Then he moved to Orlando to try to be scouted by the Premier Development League (PDL). Rauw Alejandro is famous for his Latin R&B, Latin Reggaeton and rhythmic pop. Billboard stated that his music has "set him distinct" from the growing number of Reggaetones who are influenced by pop. Presley as well as Jackson were influential early on.
